Evans Motari Maragia (born 20th April, 1966, Kisii, Kenya) is the current Director of administration and
finance (DAF) of the International University of Equator (IUE), the only English teaching university in
Burundi.
I serve as chief financial officer and member of the Board of Directors of the institution.
I joined the university in April 2016 from Sudken International Ltd South Sdudan where I served as a
chief financial officer; the company rehabilitated the Nile/Juba Bridge and other many projects in South
Sudan in the year 2008 to 2013.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Advanced accounting and Auditing) from Marathwada University in India and Masters of Business administration (Accounting and finance) from Bugema University in Uganda; and a host of other qualifications.
I am pursuing Doctorate degree at the University of Burundi in Economics department.
